Arc Fault Circuit Breaker (Arc Breaker) is a new technology for circuit protection. Its main function is to detect and distinguish the dangerous ground arc fault, parallel arc fault and series arc fault, and drive the device of current disconnection in time to avoid the occurrence of electrical fires. When an electrical fault occurs, due to the low current intensity (which is lower than the over-current protection installation setting value widely installed in current systems, especially in low-voltage distribution fields), the installation of a fault arc breaker at the distribution line terminal can timely detect the arc and cut off the circuit, effectively reducing the losses caused by the arc. It is an intelligent circuit protector featuring an integrated design of MCB and RCB, capable of detecting and identifying both fault arcs and normal operational arcs to prevent fire hazards caused by faulty electric arcs from poor contact and insulation. It integrates fault arc protection, overload protection, short circuit protection, surge suppression, and leakage protection.
Applications
The fault arc breakers are mainly installed in the distribution boxes of terminal distribution systems. They can also be installed in control circuit units of home and office buildings, large supermarkets, department stores, hospitals, airports, textile mills, warehouses, oil depots, oil refineries, entertainment venues, hotels, oil pipelines, and similar locations. Wherever electricity is used, the device must be installed and used widely for comprehensive electrical fire protection.
