Products Description
GSP9 series surge protective device (SPD) is suitable for TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT etc. power supply system of AC 50/60Hz, 380V, installed on the joint of LPZ1 or LPZ2 and LPZ3. It is designed according to IEC61643-1 and GB18802.1. Adopting a 35mm standard rail, there is a failure release mounted on the module of the surge protective device.
When the SPD fails in breakdown due to over-heat and over-current, the failure release will help the electric device separate from the power system and provide an indication signal: green means normal, red means abnormal. The module can also be replaced when operating under voltage.
Product Features
  • Inside over-current and over-heat protection, temperature control open circuit.
  • Module design, convenient installation, can be replaced online.
  • Small leakage current, rapid response time, and low residual voltage.
  • Visual signal indication device: green (normal), red (abnormal).
  • New technology, high energy, clearance discharge pole (N-PE).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What applications is the GSP9 Surge Protective Device (SPD) suitable for?

The GSP9 series SPD is designed for TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT, and other AC 50/60Hz, 380V power supply systems. It is typically installed at the boundary of LPZ1 or LPZ2 and LPZ3 zones.

How does the failure release indicator work?

The SPD features a visual window indicator. When the device is operating normally, the window displays green. In the event of a fault or breakdown due to overheating or overcurrent, the indicator turns red, indicating that the module needs replacement.

Can the modules be replaced online while the system is energized?

Yes, the GSP9 utilizes a modular design that allows the protective modules to be replaced online even when operating voltage is present, minimizing system downtime.

What type of mounting does the GSP9 SPD require?

It is designed for easy and convenient installation on standard 35mm DIN rails.

What is the operating temperature range for this device?

The GSP9 surge protective device can operate reliably within a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C.

Does this SPD provide protection against both overcurrent and overheating?

Yes, it features integrated internal over-current and over-heat protection, combined with temperature control open circuit technology, ensuring safe separation from the power system during failure.
